9.                  COMMITTEES

9.1              Committee Chairpersons

9.1.1        At the beginning of his/her term, the President shall appoint a chairperson to each committee.  All committees shall consist of a chairperson with a minimum number of members, as outlined in Section 9.2 for Standing Committees, and as many active members as needed for Ad Hoc Committees.  Committee chairpersons are responsible for working within established budgets.  (See Appendix 1 for expense reimbursement.)

9.1.2        Each committee chairperson shall report verbally or in writing each month to the E-Board. 

9.2              Standing Committees and Membership

9.2.1        By-Laws/Policies and Procedures Committee. Shall have a minimum of two (2) active members of the Association

9.2.2        Finance Committee.  Treasurer shall be the chairperson with a minimum of one (1) active member of the Association.

9.2.3        Real Property Management Committee.  Membership shall be one (1) member of the E-Board and two (2) active members of the Association.

9.2.4        Park Committee.  Shall have a minimum of two (2) active members of the Association.

9.2.5        Firefighters’ Hall Committee.  Shall have a minimum of two (2) active members of the Association.

9.3              Ad Hoc Committees

9.3.1        Formed as needed by approval of the E-Board for a specific purpose. Examples of Ad Hoc Committees:

Annual Fund Raiser

Easter

Firefighters’ Ball

Labor Day

Halloween

Xmas Party

Museum

Hand Pumper

1941 Ford

Charitable

Family Day

Muster 

9.4              If a committee is not accomplishing its task for two months, the E-Board will review its function (necessity).

9.5              New committees may be formed as needed
