SPECIAL DUTY ASSIGNMENT

Assignment Description:
To perform in addition to his/her regular duty assignments, the duties of water supply officer.
Supervisor: Chief or designate
Nature of Duties:
Hydrants and mains : Oversee and participate in the annual hose tests. Become familiar with size and location of water mains in the district. Become aware of secondary sources of water supplies. Oversee and participate in maintenance of district hydrants. Maintain records and reports of hydrant tests, location and maintenance. Maintain records of main sizes, extensions and new hydrants.
Fire hose: Oversee and participate in the district's annual hose tests. Report to the chief or designate results of hose tests, quantity needed to be replaced, if any. Maintain records and reports pertaining to district's hose inventory. Prepare an annual report on water supply and hose condition to submit to the chief.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 23 years old
