14.2 Collateral Duty Assignments: Personnel may be assigned additional job assignments, with agreement of the employee, as described below.

The following job classifications shall be waged employees receiving an hourly rate paid bi weekly.
14.3.1 Firefighter
14.3.2 Engineer
14.3.3 Firefighter/Paramedic
14.3.4 Captain
14.3.5 Department Secretary

13.3.7 Administrative Assistant
The following employees will receive a salary paid biweekly. (note: pay checks will show an hourly rate for ease of computation for the county auditors office)
14.4.1 Fire Chief
14.4.2 Assistant Fire Chief
14.4.3 Battalion Chief
14.4.4 In unusual situations a salaried employee may receive overtime if it is not part of their normal job function, such as covering a shift. The rate paid shall be computed at time and one half on a 56 hour work week for the position being covered at second step of the wage range.
14.5.1 The work period for all employees shall start on Saturday @ 0001 hrs. and shall end on Friday of the same week @ 2400 hrs. (see Appendix IV for pay periods & pay days)
14.5.2 The normal work day and week for 40 hour employees shall consist of 40 hours, Monday through Friday, 8 hours a day exclusive of the lunch period.
14.5.3 The normal work day and week for 56 hour employees shall average 56 hours a week in two week period, coinciding with department pay periods. The work day shall begin @ 0800 hrs and end @ 0800 hrs. the following day, inclusive of time for meals. (see Appendix V for shift schedule).
14.5.4 The normal work day and week for salaried employees shall be at the discretion of the district board.
14.6.1 All employees will be subject to emergency call back for the protection of public health, safety or welfare of the public.
14.6.2 When an employee is called back they shall receive minimum of 2 hours pay at time and one half at their pay range.
